Bishop and Rev. Dr. Mrs Felix Owolabi Foundation in collaboration with FaithTriumph Ministries International, Baltimore, Maryland, United States organized A-2-Day Free Health Campaign/Programme tagged Health Fair 2022 for the people of Oke-Ila Orangun and its environ.
In his opening remarks, the Founder of the Foundation who is also The Presiding Bishop of FaithTriumph Ministries International, Bishop (Dr.) Felix Owolabi said the Foundation arranged the event to help people of the community to know their health status, gets free medication and consultation without stress.
A team of medical experts was led by the wife of the Founder, Dr. Temitayo Owolabi with the assistance of some Nurses from Osogbo, Mrs Adebola Oni and Mrs Olawumi Ola among others volunteers who attended to the people who have various health challenges.
Various medical tests were done for both young and old in the community by medical personnel and health experts on Blood Pressure, Sugar Level and Pulse Rate, while free medications were given as well as consultation.
The participants who benefitted from the free health care service expressed satisfaction about the event while praying that God would continue to help Bishop (Dr.) Felix Owolabi, the family and the Church to organize more people-centered programmes like this in the community.
A-74-year-old beneficiary commended the Foundation for the programme. “I was very weak; it was my granddaughter that forced me to attend this programme. I am happy to be here today. Please don’t stop this programme, we want more,” she concluded.
A community leader, The Obaale of Oke-Ila Orangun, Chief Adeniyi Fawole while thanking the organizers of the event also lamented the high cost of drugs in the country, he advised the government at all levels to subsidize drugs in order to make quality health care accessible to all Nigerians.
Some teachers and students of Abolarin College, Oke-Ila Orangun were earlier trained by Rev. Dr. Temitayo Felix Owolabi to give health talks.
