Barely one month to the gubernatorial election in Osun State when the electorates in the State will determine their next governor for another four years on July 16, 2022 ; the Osun Central Senatorial Candidate, Chief Olubiyi Fadeyi (Ajagunnla); Ila/Ifedayo/Boluwaduro Federal Constituency’s Candidate, Hon. Clement Akanni (Olohunwa); the erstwhile PDP Secretary for the South West, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo and other party faithfuls stormed Ila and Ifedayo LGs and the Area Office to show their unalloyed supports for the Party’s Candidate, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke aka Imole De.
The campaign trains first visited Chiefs and people of Ifedayo Area Office before proceeding to Ora-Igbomina where they visited Asaooni of Ora-Igbomina, Alayeluwa Oba Surv. Joshua Tinuoye Atolagbe at his palace.
Also, the team moved to the palace of Akesin of Ora-Igbomina, Alayeluwa Oba Samuel Oladoye to ask for the blessings of the King.
The Campaign Team later left for the palace of Orangun of Oke-Ila, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin, to promote the party’s programmes.
From there the Campaign Team moved to the Ila-Orangun where tens of thousands of party members and well wishers were waiting to receive them.
Alayeluwa Oba Wahab Oyedotun like other kings they visited earlier prayed and blessed the gubernatorial Candidate.
Meanwhile, the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Ademola Adeleke aka ÃŒmólè Dé, in his speech, lamented the poor infrastructures in the local governments and described Ila-Ora and Ila-Oke-Ila roads as death traps. He therefore promised to embark on people centred projects like good roads, free and functional healthcare, building and equipping school laboratories and libraries, regular payment of civil servants salaries with promotion as at when due and also prioritize pensioners’ emoluments, financial probity and accountability among others.
The people of Ifedayo Area Council also came out in their hundreds to welcome the unassuming leader.
Other personalities in the team were Dr. Peter Power, Dr. Oladimeji, Prof. Wale Oladipupo, Hon. Sunday Bisi, Hon. Mrs Ayò Fadeyi-Awolowo, Dr. Kasope Abolarin, Alh.Sikiru Bajepade, Hon. Kolapo Lawal, Dr. Yekeen Oderemi, Hon. Ademola Durosomo, Hon. Ayanbanji, Hon. Fatai Durotoye among others.
Sen. Ademola Adeleke (PDP), the incumbent governor, Adegboyega Oyetola (APC), Rt. Hon. Lasun Yussuff (Labour Party) and Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi are vying for the Bola Ige House in Abeere and the people of Osun State will decide who will emerge victoriously through the ballot.
At the same time, the good people of Osun State are looking out for a free and fair election on July 16, 2022.
