There are lives that tell stories, and there are lives that become testimonies. The life of Bishop Felix Owolabi, Presiding Bishop of FaithTriumph Ministries International, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America, belongs unmistakably to the latter.
For Bishop Owolabi, life is not primarily measured by accomplishments, titles or material possessions. Rather, it is a journey of grace, faith and service to God. His personal testimony can be summed up in one simple but profound declaration: “My whole life is about Jesus and His service.”
Since the day he consciously committed his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, Bishop Owolabi says he has sought to make Christ the centre of his existence and acceptable service to Him the purpose of his life. His Christian journey has therefore been characterized by dedication to the work of God, commitment to people and an enduring desire to see lives transformed through the Gospel.
As the Presiding Bishop of FaithTriumph Ministries International, his ministry has extended beyond the pulpit. He has demonstrated a deep conviction that genuine Christian leadership must touch every aspect of human life—spiritual, intellectual, moral, social and developmental.
A Life of Grace and Gratitude
One of the outstanding features of Bishop Owolabi’s testimony is his profound appreciation of the grace of God.
He does not see his journey as the product of personal strength or achievement alone. Rather, he attributes every milestone to the mercy and faithfulness of God.
For him, grace is not merely a theological expression; it is a daily reality.
This explains his enduring personal slogan:
“Live by Grace, Walk by Faith.”
These words encapsulate the philosophy by which he has chosen to live. He acknowledges that whatever God has enabled him to accomplish is ultimately a testimony of divine grace, while his responsibility is to continue walking by faith, trusting God for the future.
A Wife, Confidant and Co-Labourer
Beyond ministry, Bishop Owolabi considers himself particularly blessed in the area of family.
He is happily married to Her Lordship, Bishop Temitayo Felix Owolabi, whom he describes not only as his wife but also as his confidant and co-labourer in the vineyard of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Their partnership represents a shared commitment to the things of God. Together, they have built a family and ministry around the principles of faith, love, service and devotion to Christ.
Their union is blessed with God-fearing children, among whom is Pastor Mathias Owolabi, the Resident Pastor of FaithTriumph Ministries International, Baltimore.
For Bishop Owolabi, having a wife who understands his calling, shares his passion for God’s work and stands beside him in ministry is one of the great blessings for which he remains deeply grateful to God.
Grace
Grateful for Spiritual Fatherhood and Mentorship
Bishop Owolabi is equally conscious of the importance of spiritual mentorship in his journey.
He says he will remain eternally grateful to God for giving him a spiritual father and mentor in the person of His Lordship, Bishop Francis Wale Oke.
To him, spiritual fatherhood is a divine blessing that provides direction, correction, encouragement and wisdom along the journey of service.
He is also grateful for the privilege of being surrounded by many men of God whom he describes as men of honour and dignity.
This recognition of the contributions of others to his journey further demonstrates his humility and understanding that no meaningful destiny is fulfilled entirely in isolation.
Beyond Ministry: A Vision for the Future
While Bishop Felix Owolabi’s primary passion remains his service to Jesus Christ, his vision extends to the transformation of society through education.
His heart’s desire and prayer is to see Owolabi University emerge as one of the leading universities—not only in Nigeria or Africa, but globally.
For him, the university represents more than another institution of higher learning. It is part of a larger vision to raise a generation equipped with knowledge, character, innovation and the capacity to make meaningful contributions to humanity.
His aspiration is therefore ambitious but deeply rooted in service: to build an institution that can compete favourably on the global stage while remaining committed to excellence, character formation and the development of future leaders.
A Legacy Still Unfolding
The story of Bishop Felix Owolabi is still being written.
From his commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Gospel, to his partnership with his wife and family, his appreciation for spiritual mentorship and his vision for transforming lives through education, his journey reflects a man who believes that every opportunity is an assignment from God.
He does not take the grace of God for granted.
Instead, he chooses to remain thankful, faithful and forward-looking, conscious that the same God who brought him this far is able to take him and the vision entrusted to him much further.
His testimony is therefore not simply about where he has been. It is about where God is taking him—and the lives that will be touched along the way.
In Bishop Owolabi’s own words, the essence of his journey remains clear:
“My whole life is about Jesus and His service.”
And as he continues to live out that conviction, his guiding declaration remains:
LIVE BY GRACE. WALK BY FAITH.
