Warren Bennis, a pastor and a great philosopher, in one of his writings said “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.”
Hon. Clement Ademola Akanni hails from Ila-Orangun. He is a member of the National Assembly, representing Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency.
As far back as his secondary school days at Ila Grammar School, Ila-Orangun, he has been demonstrating leadership traits, and every student and staff member of the school has been noticing the peculiar traits. They used to see him as a ray of hope for this generation.
Akanni Olohunwa, as he is popularly addressed by all and sundry, is a man of many parts, an administrator, a financial expert, a prosperous businessman, an astute and vibrant politician and also a philanthropist of great note to mention but a few.
Hon. Akanni is a lover of progress not only in the Ila-Orangun community but he has made his footprints known in the entire Federal Constituency and Osun State at large. This easy-going, cool-headed but intelligent socialite is a lover of peace. In one of the interactive sessions he had with Igbomina Today, Mr. Akanni said, ‘Ila-Orangun is our own Jerusalem, and if we love the town, it shall be well with us. Politics is about peace. If democracy is a government of the people by the people and for the people, how can we justify this statement in the absence of peace?”
In a community where there is arson, destruction, intimidation and cruelty, where people are living in fear, there cannot be any meaningful development. Absolute peace should be our collective responsibility and with people like us in politics, it is achievable”. He stressed.
Akanni, a retired para-military officer who served his country diligently for 11 years before his retirement; has made significant contributions to the growth and development of his home town. He is a mentor to many Ila/Ifedayo/Boluwaduro youths and has assisted many of them to be gainfully employed.

He has played very prominent and enviable roles in the development and preservation of the culture and tradition of Ila-Orangun in particular and the Igbomina kingdom at large. This gentleman believes in an egalitarian society, and his vision of industrialising his Federal Constituency is being intensified daily.
It is worth mentioning that Hon. Clement Akanni was meritoriously appointed as Director, Oodua Group of Companies and later in 2013, he became Commissioner 1 at State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB) by the former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola.
Hon. Akanni is an extremely devoted family man, married and blessed with wonderful children.
Congratulations on your new age, Hon. Clement Ademola Akanni. May the good Lord bless you and your family on this special day and always.
Happy Birthday sir!
