Traditional rulers from the ten local government areas of Osun Central Senatorial District have commended Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi for his timely humanitarian intervention and compassionate support to victims affected by the recent devastating rainstorm in Osogbo.
The royal fathers, who gathered to identify with the victims and appreciate the senator’s gesture, described Senator Fadeyi as a leader with a large heart, whose commitment to the welfare of the people continues to distinguish him in public service.
The monarchs noted that the senator’s decision to provide financial assistance to affected residents demonstrated empathy, responsibility and genuine concern for humanity, especially at a period when many families are struggling to recover from the destruction caused by the heavy rainstorm.
The devastating storm, which affected several parts of Osogbo, destroyed homes, shops, business centres, electricity installations and other valuable properties, leaving many residents counting their losses.
The Asiwaju of Osogbo, Retired Justice Adeigbe, disclosed that beneficiaries were categorized into three groups based on the level of damage suffered.
At the presentation of cheques to the victims, the Ajagunnla Oodua Ti Ile Yoruba, Senator Fadeyi expressed sympathy to affected families and assured them that responsive leadership requires standing with the people in moments of hardship and distress.
He stated that the intervention was aimed at bringing relief to the victims and assisting them to gradually rebuild their homes, businesses and livelihoods. Ajagunnla Oodua also appealed for continued support for himself and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections. He doled out Twenty Million Naira to the victims.
The event attracted a remarkable gathering of highly respected traditional rulers across Osun Central Senatorial District, reflecting the strong support and admiration the senator enjoys among royal institutions in the district.
The roll call of monarchs at the occasion included the Ataoja of Osogbo land, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, the Akesin of Ora Igbomina, the Eburu of Iba, the Alasi of Asi, the Aare of Iree, the Oluresi of Iresi, the Owa of Otan Ayegbaju, the Alaagba of Agbaa, the Akesé of Ifaji, the Olona of Ada and the Olororuwo of Ororuwo, among other notable royal fathers from the district. While Alhaji Rasheed Adeniji led the All Progressives Congress, APC, leaders to the event.








Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Ataoja of Osogbo land, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, and the Pro Chancellor of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Odundun IV, Oba Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, praised Senator Fadeyi for consistently demonstrating leadership with compassion, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility to the people.
They described him as a dependable grassroots politician, philanthropist and community developer whose interventions in education, empowerment, infrastructure and humanitarian services have continued to positively impact lives across Osun Central Senatorial District.
The royal fathers further prayed for divine wisdom, strength and greater accomplishments for the senator as he continues to serve the people and contribute to the growth and development of Osun State.
Beneficiaries of the support initiative also expressed profound appreciation to Senator Fadeyi for the relief assistance, describing the gesture as timely and encouraging during a difficult period in their lives.






Residents and community leaders present at the event applauded the senator’s humanitarian disposition and urged other public office holders and privileged individuals to emulate such acts of kindness and responsiveness to the needs of the people.
