Dr. Iyiola Oyefara has congratulated His Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Wahab Oyedotun, Arutu Oluokun, Bibiire 1, The Orangun of Ila on his 20th coronation anniversary.
The monarch was described as a visionary leader and a loving father whose tenure has brought progress and development not only to the ancient Ila-Orangun town but its environs and the Igbomina land as a whole.
In a congratulatory message to the paramount traditional ruler, who is also the Chairman, Ila Traditional Council in a statement said the Kabiyesi within his first twenty years on the throne, has made indelible mark on the ancient kingdom and the people. His reign has witnessed the birth of a Federal University of Health Sciences in Ila-Orangun; Police Mobile Training College; Osun Central District Education Office and Orisun Igbomina FM Station among others.
In the last twenty years of his reign, Ila-Orangun has produced many great men and women i n all fields vis-à-vis Inspector General of Police, Justice of Appeal Court, Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professors, Registrars, Captains of Industries among others.
‘Oyefara added that Oba Oyedotun, as a distinguished monarch, has also contributed immensely to the development of Osun State and Nigeria in general by availing his rich experiences in advancing peace and unity of the society.
“As we celebrate Kabiyesi’s twenty years on the revered throne of Orangun of Ila, I pray for continued strength, good health and long life for His Majesty. I pray that God continues to grant him wisdom to steer the affairs of the town.” he stated.
Dr. Oyefara further prayed that Oba Oyedotun would continue to prosper on the throne, and Ila-Orangun town, its environs and Igbominaland as a whole would continue to witness peace and tranquillity.
