Engr. Ezekiel Olajide Adeniji, PhD, FNSE, FNIM; simply called and addressed as Engr. Jide, was born on June 11, 1961 to the family of Late James Arinde and Madam Comfort Onaolapo Balogun Adeniji of Ile Olówóye in Ila-Orangun, Osun State, Nigeria.
Jide was Senior Prefect in 1974 at St. Mathews Anglican Primary School, Ila-Orangun. A product of the prestigious Ila Grammar School, Jide studied Civil Engineering at University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and graduated in 1985. He later attended University of Lagos between 2001 and 2003 for his Master’s Degree in Project Management (MPM) and Nanjing Institute of Meteorology, Nanjing, China in 2003 for WMO Certificate in Instrument Fabrication and St. Clement’s University, West Indies for his PhD in Project Management (2012).
In 2007, he was appointed Acting Director General/CEO of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency.
Like the golden fish with no place to hide, Engr. Jide is a gem in Civil Engineering and Political landscape in Nigeria, hence his appointment as The Chairman, Governing Board of Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, in 2012
