Following the successful return and preparation towards the installation of the repaired 7.5 MVA transformer and the restoration of electricity to the Ila-Orangun community, Senator Ajagunnla Olubiyi Fadeyi has expressed heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders who made the resolution possible.
In a statement released today, the Senator extended his sincere thanks to the management of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC). He said ” I would like to extend our appreciation to the MD of IBEDC, Mr Francis Agoha, The Technical Manager, the Regional Manager of IBEDC, Engr Adeshina, The Manager in charge of Osun Central Senatorial District, Engr Afolabi among others, for responding positively to the call for action for restoring power to the community after a prolonged period of blackout.
Senator Fadeyi, who is The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and The Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on Power, also commended the patience and resilience of the traditional chiefs, community leaders, and residents of Ila-Orangun throughout the ordeal.
Special appreciation was directed to elder statesman Chief Bisi Akande, whose quiet support and counsel were instrumental during the intervention. “Baba Akande put calls to the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu about two times, I cannot thank him enough. Also, I would like to specially put on record the efforts of the trio of Chiefs Ejemu Paul Ogunrinade and Elemona R. A. Adedapo as well as Hon. Nasiru Adebisi Jayeola who went to Ibadan three times to further make sure the transformer was repaired without further delay” He emphasized.
Senator Fadeyi acknowledged the unwavering trust and belief the people placed in him, affirming that such confidence continues to inspire his commitment to responsible, people-focused representation. “I am grateful for your trust, and I assure you that your concerns will always remain a top priority,” he stated.
