The Management team of the newly established University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun led by The pioneer Vice Chancellor, Prof. Akeem Olawale Lasisi, on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the former Governor of Osun State and the Asiwaju of Ila, Chief (Dr.) Adebisi Bamdele Akande.
The Vice Chancellor said “this visit enabled us to congratulate and thank Baba Akande for all the supports received so far as well as to receive his blessings.
With the unwavering support of President Muhammadu Buhari as well as the guidance of our principal, National Universities Commission, NUC, this specialized university will turn out students that will be pride of the nation.”
Prof. Lasisi stressed that the dream of the management was to lead the University to a point that all can be proud of, stressing that the institution would impact positively on the economy of Ila-Orangun in particular and Osun State at large. He added that the members of the management team would deploy their wealth of experience and knowledge to achieve this dream.
Responding, the Asiwaju of Ila, Chief (Dr.) Bisi Akande, welcomed the team, emphasizing the need for dedication and the right attitude to work amongst critical stakeholders and he wished them success in all their endeavours.
Other members of the team are the Registrar, Mr Kassim Kayode Babamale, Bursar, Mr Adelani Adedayo Oyewale and Librarian, Mrs Bukky Olufemi Asubiojo.
The Chairman of the Governing Council of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Dr. Olayinka Owolabi received the team at Baba’s house.
The Management Team had earlier visited The Orangun of Ila, HRM Alayeluwa Oba Wahab Oyedotun in his palace last week.
