It’s indeed a black Saturday in Ila-Orangun, Osun State as the ancient town lost one of its prominent and promising youth and lover of the town, AC Wale Gbadamosi (Badmus).
Wale died early hour of Saturday morning at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.
His death came as a rude shock to many of his friends, associates, and fans, though it was gathered, that he was briefly sick before giving up the ghost yesterday.
Wale, a para military officer with the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Nigerian Civil Defence and Security Corps, NCDSC; was a Community Developer par Excellence. He was a member of Ila-Orangun Action Council, Ila-Orangun Awareness, Ila-Orangun Parapo, and Ajagunnla Day Committee (2009-2024) among other groups. No doubt, he will greatly be missed.
Wale Badmus last wishes on the sick bed was his plea to Senator Ajagunnla Olubiyi Fadeyi , (a man with nobility of mind and heart) for the renovation/ reconstruction of the Area Command of Civil Defence Corps office at old Eko campus, Ajaba Road, Ila-Orangun when he heard on his sick bed that the Osun Command Headquarters wanted to relocate the Area Office to another town as a result of poor infrastructure. Magnanimously, the Distinguished Senator gave nod to his wishes, and the said office was completely renovated/ reconstructed within two weeks, and that was two days before he gave up the ghost.
AC Wale Badmus was a recipient of the prestigious Award of Igbomina Today as the Distinguished Igbomina Community Developer of the year 2019.
He is survived by his wife, brothers, sisters, and god-fearing children.
