In a move that has once again underscored his reputation as a responsive and people-oriented leader, Senator Olubiyi Oluwole Fadeyi has commenced the long-awaited asphalt laying of the Takiti Junction/Araromi/Admiral Folahan Road in Ila-Orangun.

The project, which has brought visible relief and excitement to residents and commuters alike, is a direct response to a passionate appeal made by community members during one of the Senator’s routine constituency visits. Concerned about the deplorable condition of the road and its economic implications, the residents had urged the lawmaker to intervene.
True to his well-known commitment to grassroots development, Senator Fadeyi—fondly revered as Ajagunnla Oodua Ti Ile Yoruba—did not hesitate. He promptly gave his assurance and moved swiftly into action, engaging a reputable road construction firm and ensuring that no stone was left unturned in delivering the project.
The ongoing asphalt laying marks a significant milestone in the reconstruction of the road, which serves as a vital link within the community. Residents have lauded the initiative, noting that it will not only ease transportation but also stimulate local commerce and improve overall quality of life.
This latest intervention adds to the growing list of infrastructural achievements credited to the Senator. Prior to this, he had successfully executed road tarring projects in Osogbo, Ikirun, and Inisa, thereby enhancing connectivity across key urban and semi-urban centres in Osun State.
Beyond road infrastructure, Senator Fadeyi has also demonstrated his commitment to community security and traditional institutions. Notably, he donated a 4WD Hilux Patrol Van to the Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Oyedotun, and had earlier donated a police patrol vehicle to help ease security challenges in the area.
Meanwhile, the Distinguished Senator has expressed profound gratitude to the Muslim community, members of the Orangun’s compound, and other families who generously donated land for the siting of a 123MVA substation he facilitated. He described their gesture as a testament to the spirit of communal cooperation and a shared vision for sustainable development.
As the asphalt laying progresses, expectations are high that the project will be completed within schedule, further reinforcing Senator Fadeyi’s standing as a proactive lawmaker dedicated to the welfare of his people and the advancement of his constituency.
