Ila Parapo, A socio-cultural organization comprises of Ila-Orangun sons and daughters (home and abroad) has reiterated more commitment in its services to humanity as 45 lucky people got empowerment slots and started training yesterday to mark the 45th Anniversary of its existence.
The non political and non profit organization founded in the year 1977 by some distinguished sons and daughters of Ila-Orangun during the reign of Alayeluwa Oba William Adetona Ayeni was created with the aim of developing the ancient city and empowering the less privileged.
The Ila Parapo 45th Anniversary Committee Chairman, Alhaji Builder Isiaq Oladele who was full of thanksgiving to God on how far the organization has come , noted that the organization has been a channel of blessings to Ila-Orangun at large. He lauded the vision of the founding fathers and members.
While addressing the trainees, Alhaji Oladele encouraged them to reciprocate the kind gesture by putting in their best during and after the training and that they must not sell the empowerment kits/equipment that will be given to them after they must have successfully completed the training.
“We thank those who have supported Ila Parapo 45th Anniversary, our partners, sponsors, and collaborators.” He concluded.
The National President of organization, High Chief Paul Ogunrinade during a courtesy call to Orangun of Ila, Alayeluwa Oba Wahab Oyedotun, thanked Kabiesi for his unalloyed and untouched supports for the organization and prayed for God’s continuous blessings and good health for the royal father.
In his response, Alayeluwa Orangun Wahab Oyedotun eulogized the leadership of the National President, Ejemu Paul Ogunrinade and prayed God to multiply such a leader in the community. “We are so proud of the growth that we have seen in our community in the last 19 years of my reign as Orangun of Ila and this is just the beginning of greater things to come. With the tireless work, persistence, knowledge, and experience that Ila Parapo has built up in the the last 45 years, the future of this town is very bright” he emphasized.
The trainees are to be trained in one area of interest – Solar Installation; Gèlè, Make-up and Bead Making; Pastry, Cake Baking and Juice Production; Decorations and Events Planing and Large Cooking and Catering Services.
Other activities to mark the anniversary between November 21 and 27, 2022 include Table Tennis and Ayò Olópón competitions; Raffles Draw and presentation of prizes to the winners; Graduation ceremony of the trainees; Award presentation to some distinguished sons and daughters of Ila-Orangun and Dinner; Special Jumat Service and Anniversary Thanksgiving Service at First Baptist Church, Ila-Orangun .
The Monday event was graced by some leaders and members of Ila Parapo from various towns and cities like Abuja, Ede, Offa, Ile-Ife, Akure, Ilorin, Osogbo and Ila-Orangun .
